Welcome to Arctic Roots Farm

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to our farm and introduce the Fairbanks community to you.  We believe you will find our accommodations clean & comfortable and our community warm & welcoming. If there is anything we can do to make your stay here at Arctic Roots Farm more comfortable, please let us know. You are always welcome to visit us at the farm house and roam the 75 acres anytime. We do ask that you only view, never approach, the wildlife that may seasonally inhabit the farm.

Respectfully, Jim & Amanda

Arctic Roots Farm offers personal and family accommodations in a warm inviting “Alaskan style” atmosphere on one of Alaska’s oldest Interior homestead farms. Our comfortable self-contained homes, include an original “restored and energy efficient” log cabin and a modern farm style cottage.

“Absolutely incredible space. The cottage was exactly as advertised and had more than what we needed. The host was even more outstanding! Amanda provided delicious homemade breakfasts every morning which we enjoyed at our own leisure. We loved exploring the operational farm which was very clean and well-managed.”-Karl

Each of our accommodations are completely furnished for a warm comfortable atmosphere. Comforters and linens are provided for a comfortable nights sleep and the fully furnished kitchen, laundry, and bathroom makes for a home away from home experience. We provide hand & body soaps, as well as laundry detergent. Our Bed & Breakfast includes a small homemade continental breakfast of granola, egg casserole, muffin/sweet bread, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and juice all enjoyed in the privacy of the cabin or cottage.

“As soon as we arrived, our hosts welcomed us and were very friendly, engaging. Our cabin was perfectly set up with a fully functional kitchen and everything we needed for our stay, including a washer/dryer. The location and neighborhood were exactly what we were looking for and we wandered around on the farm whenever/where ever we wanted to go. There was a nice little trail in the trees that is ideal for snow shoeing [sic] but worked well for walking too. Absolutely the best vacation we have ever had and definitely plan to go back. The hosts were the best family ever!” -Jim & Sandra

The comforts of a rural farm home are personal and private.  Our 75-acre farm offers room to wander out your backdoor through our birch forests and hay fields in the summer or cross-country ski on our groomed ski trail in the winter.
